Condition: Absolutely gorgeous authentic Steiff! The metal frame is strong and sturdy. There is a lot of wear to the mohair starfish. While I used it in this condition, some repairs are suggested. The fabric has splits and rips on the ends of the feet exposing straw inside. There are thinning spots and some holes. Sturdy enough for me to sit on and holds up though I would suggest gluing, sewing, or patching the ends of the feet. See photos of actual item for sale!

Made circa 1959. Originally sold as a child's seat, it is a perfect footstool. Absolutely gorgeous authentic Steiff! The metal frame is strong and sturdy. There is a lot of wear to the mohair starfish. While I used it in this condition, repairs are suggested. The fabric has split on one foot. There are thinning spots and some holes.
